Pesto Pasta

Everyone loves pesto. Everyone loves pasta. Why not mix both into one delicious dish that's also fun and easy to make.



Ingredients

  • Pine nuts

  • Basil

  • Parmesan

  • 1-2 garlic cloves

  • Fusilli pasta


Making the Pesto

  1. Crush the garlic cloves with a bit of kosher salt

  2. Add a spoon full of pine nuts to the mix and crush everything together until a fine paste is formed

  3. Add the basil leaves

  4. Add fine-grained parmesan and continue crushing

  5. Once the paste is crushed to the desired consistency - add 2 spoons of olive oil and mix well

For the pasta

  1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. Make sure you save some of the pasta water.

  2. Once cooked, add both the pasta and the pesto into a mixing bowl

  3. Add half a cup of pasta water to the mixing bowl and mix everything together.
